city renewal

We conduct complex and multi- disciplinary processes, particularly in district renovation, and develop the functions present in a residential district both in the scheduling stage and execution. As we feel responsible concerning content and are closely involved with people we do not operate from a distance.

clear consultation, clear goal

In our view, coherence in plans is of major importance. It must be clear which goals are to be realised and the means required to achieve this physically, socially and economically. We believe that the discussion concerning coherence is often used as an excuse for lack of spunk or results. That is why we work towards concrete goals.

The design team is active on any scale level: from a regional vision to individual houses. We design new housing estates and renovate residential construction, non-residential and non-civil works, mainly in the social/cultural sector.

in-depth analysis

Our main focus is (the integration into) the existing city. In order to design districts on whatever scale level, KAW always starts with a thorough analysis of spatial and social structure and an acquaintance with district residents and their housing requirements. This broad analysis is the basis for a high-quality spatial concept.

urban planning & architecture

Urban planning and architecture are two interlocking disciplines which should reinforce one another. Each KAW architect has their own style. Our common source of inspiration is the end user. Starting points of our approach are the opinions of the people we work for, resulting in designs with a proper basis.

Building & Architecture

finishing touch and feasibility

A proper design highly depends on a thorough execution. At KAW, this execution is conducted by the building and architecture team which guarantees reliability, clarity and efficiency.

perfect finishing

The technical draughters, project managers, cost accountants and supervisors of the building and architecture team execute any activities. From the initiatory phase up to and including the execution for both new developments and renovation, particularly regarding residential construction.

one contact person

The project manager functions as the key figure and is responsible for scheduling and quality and cost control. This can be done from KAW or on the basis of secondment. We provide constructional services within building processes as well as separately.
